Habit Control - Addidction Disorder & CBT (cognitive behavorial therapy)
Anything can become a bad habit or addiction. The simplified definition of addiction is: being habitually involved with something, because of craving, despite the overwhelming negative consequences associated with it. With this in mind, there are a multitude of behaviors or activities that can become addicting. They can range from the illegal to the seemingly benign, drugs to chocolate.

I help individuals overcome: food issues such as overeating and binging, gambling, excessive shopping or television watching. In addition other bad habits that I assist people with are procrastination and retaining excessive clutter. I also assist clients who are working on their recovery from drugs and alcohol while they are in support groups such as AA or NA. I enjoy assisting clients in developing new ways of thinking and behaving that will support their recovery lifestyle and to help them develop the skills to continue their progress and prevent relapse.
